Electric Scooters can be a relatively cheap alternative form of transportation. If you look hard enough, you can get them for sometimes as much as 50% off regular prices. Patience will play an important role in getting the right price. You need to take the time to research your options, then you will be able to make an informed decision.
Electric Scooters are incredibly fun, and they’re taking the world by storm. Everywhere you look, you can find people young and old enjoying their electric scooters. Electric scooters are used for recreation, as primary transportation to work, and for those short trips to the local store.
What a lot of people don't know is that there is a way to get electric scooters at discount using an old tactic. “price comparison” (and a little bit of patience). Thanks to our new buddy the internet, we can research just about anything, and electric scooters are no exception. The internet makes it easy to research electric scooters and when you find something you like, you can match that item, along with the scooter specifications, including the options, such as if you were looking for kid electric scooters, or folding electric scooters and take that to your local scooter dealer and usually, if they are smart will give you a good deal. If they don’t want your business, and don’t deal with you, there are several internet companies that will gladly take your business. The drawback to this approach is minimal, considering the gains that you will receive in the long run.
If you decide to order electric scooters online, you will need to do some legwork, and you will need to wait a little bit longer to receive your electric scooter.
How to look for new electric scooters.
1) Start at Froogle.com. This is a dedicated search engine from Google. It’s Google’s shopping search engine where you can look for whatever it is you need. Try searching for 'electric scooter,' 'electric scooters’ or even 'electric scooter discount.' When searching, place the phrase you are searching for in quotes (“) at the beginning and the end of the phrase. This will limit your search to only return the sites that have the specified key phrase and eliminate most of the junk. EX: “electric scooters” instead of just electric scooters. This will get you a huge number of electric scooter retailers competing for your business. Visit at least 10-20 and write down the best prices and deal you see.
2) Do the same searches on the regular Google.com. Look at the right hand side of the page. These are ads that retailers pay Google a lot of money to place their ads on the right hand side of the results for certain keyword they bid on in a sort of virtual keyword auction.
3) Do the same searches on Yahoo.com. Once again, pay attention to the right hand side sponsored ads. Often you will find different vendors advertising on Yahoo than Google. You want to compare as many different companies that offer electric scooters as possible. The more companies you compare, the better an idea you will have on the actual market asking price and when you know this, you can effectively deal.
4) Go to E-Bay and run a search for 'electric scooter' and 'electric scooters.' Write down the results and watch some auctions for a week or so. Write down the prices you see things being sold for. Do not forget to add the shipping price advertised in these auctions. Sometimes, E-Bay auctions will look like a great deal, but when you throw in the shipping price, you really are not saving any money.
5) **This is where patience comes into play** Come back in 2 weeks and do it all over again. At the end of this you will know that you've done a lot of research and you will know where the best deals are.
Overall, I wouldn't be surprised if you could save substantially by comparing companies on new electric scooters. When comparing these companies, you need to include the shipping price in your calculation. What looks like a good deal initially, could end up costing you more in the long run. After all, you did the work: you are entitled to getting paid for it.
